But when one takes another's life. If they are unwilling to change then why should they life off the society that they have injured?

taking ones life isn't but murder is

murder is the taking of ones life.

so if someone is murdered, no one dies.

you missed the point
murder has to do with intent. While killing is just taking life.
If I kill someone in self defense he dies and yet I am not charged with murder.

i understand that, but i was not talking on the legal level, i am more concerned about the universal level.

Taking lives needs to be more specific because a hunter will take the life of the deer he pursues.

your right. but for now lets only take human lives into account.
