I stand before you
Stronger than before

Not quite who I was before

Now I'm strong and I am free

But the sad truth of it is

Although I must thank you now

And in his place stands the strong one

My tears no longer burden my cheeks

I look at it dead on the ground
And grin so maddly as it rotts

THrough suffering I've been set free

Went through my old poetry and found this. Wrote it about four months ago. It's not exactly how I feel now.

Broken Spirits

Peel back the covers don't you dare hide away
Don't let them be the ones to bring down your day
They want to make you feel the pain you deserve
Let you realise how much life hurts
Pull off the false front you cower beneath
Strip your soul bare, let everyone see.
Would you be so brave if you stood alone?
If your army began to erode.
Let go of life, before your demons succeed
Turn away don't let them see that you bleed
Don't fight a losing battle, don't kill your pride
Keep it with you till your soul starts to die
Show who you are don't live your life locked up tight
Go and defend all you believe that is right
Better to live and die, than never live at all
Be careful, they'll never catch you when you fall
Bring your army, and take on your fear
Only death and destruction live here
Climb over the memories of the past
It's all about the future now and how long it lasts
Show your emotions, they're becoming so rare
Free all that passion that you're longing to share
Don't be afraid to fight when you're called to war
Wait until they find something worth fighting for
They'll crush your spirit less you believe you can win
They'll open wide hells gates and invite you in
Temptation weakens those destined to fail
Fight on for yourself and good will prevail
