Dreams |
Ive been having the strangest dreams lately. I cry for hours about each one. Anyone analyze dreams? They are things that really happened , i guess thats why they upset me so bad. The first one i had about two weeks ago, i was talking to my uncle in his bedroom, and he tells me that he cant take it anymore anad then he shoots himself. In reality , i wasnt there but he shot himself a few years ago. The second dream, i had last night, it was about rape, i was raped about 5 months ago bye someone i thought was a friend, i got off the phone with my boyfriend last night, and i started to doze off, i fell asleep and started to dream about it , it was like reality, it was so real. How do you stop yourself from dreaming stuff. I guess it would help to talk about it , i really have no one to talk to tho....so yea. any advice?

If you are having these horrible dreams there may be some underlying things going on that are bringing them up. I would recommend talking to someone about them and they could possibly help you to uncover what is behind them. counseling can do wonders. Give it a try. Good Luck.

dreams are like astral realities and negative forces out there can invade your perspective reality, these negative forces would use your fear or unknown fears , know this fear, fear it and when fear comes courage.

Hi I'm sorry to hear about your bad dreams, they can be very depressing, especially when they are of a recurring theme that links to your waking life. Unfortunately bad experiences will always be in your subconscious. Meditating is a very good idea but it won't make them go away. Might I suggest keeping a dream diary . Write down exactly what you remember when you wake up, including, thoughts, feelings, smells, colours, etc. etc. and then read back through what you have written and see if anything really strikes you as ringing true. The only way to get rid of bad dreams is to face them head on. Try and work through in your own mind the underlying theme of the dream relating to your life problems. Write down in the dream diary any positive things you can get out of the dream to help you get over the issue. If you feel yourself becoming lucid in the dream, i.e aware you are dreaming, try and gain some control in the dream, ask questions, confront the enemy, its your dream you can take control of it. Be strong, try and be positive, continue counciling, don't get bogged down by any feelings of guilt or negative emotions and you will come out the other side . God bless and I wish you well with this one, I know how awful bad dreams can get. Good luck and might I add sweet dreams!

Sounds like some very wise advice from Sorceress. I once tried to keep a dream journal and the more I would become aware of my dreams, the more weird reality would seem when I'd wake up so I stopped doing it. I would wake up scared or freaked out and I don't know why. After your post though, Sorceress, I'm thinking about giving it another try. I don't feel like my childhood was that dark or horrible but these weird and disturbing dreams I have, that I become aware of, really scare me. I'm really going to try and face them head on, thanks a lot for the advice.

The thing to remember about dreams is that they are all about you, your past, present and perhaps even your potential so always try to view even the bad, negative dreams in a positive light, for example if you are in a dark scary house, could that house be you in a dark moment of your life. If you are being attacked, bleeding even, what is it about your life that is draining you of your life blood . Is there an issue eating away at you etc. etc. Bugs are another good one, I often dream about being attacked by wasps or little bugs so I turn it around and say to myself, what is bugging me, what has stung my feelings? That sort of thing. Just use your dreams as a tool for self awareness and self cleansing, works for me!
