War But Why?
Death everywhere no end
No stopping not pretend
Not good not bad
Just endless killing
Not for anyone
Yet everyone fights
Try to pretend that it's gone
Yet we all know no end all suffer
We try to remember the ones who die to stop it
But yet there are gone not coming back, not here
It hides, but never completely gone
Children learning and enduring
The pain and sorrow we are never without
Who are we teaching and why?
We have got to make it a minimum
But we are never without
We are too far in
Lives are gone but why?
We try to forget
We try to lie
But yet are chances are futile
Why not just forget about ourselves
Do not forget about the young
We teach to stop but yet we don't
If we are so afraid why do we keep going
Why do what we do?
What purpose do we have?
What are we getting from all of this?
We are getting the opposite of what we want
Total chaos, confusion and sorrow
We can't ever totally stop but we can at least slow the destruction
Children cry, get hurt and die from all this learning
Why can't we just learn to get along?
Stop to think for a sec
Is this war world really the place to grow up and to live?
Why, for a reason probably never to be learned or told
War can be simple to start but always gets worse
Friends versus friends mothers versus fathers and parents versus children
War is everywhere it does not need guns or swords
Usually just a fight to begin but soon an unstoppable onslaught
Government is to stop war but it just makes it worse
We have enough nuclear power to destroy the world seven times why?
War is everywhere and unless we slow it down enough, we will be gone.
