I've been called alot of things
A ballhog and in flight the wings
The center of attention is where I like to be

But I'm conceited

Not back stage or minor parts
Breakin' Dates or broken hearts
Things like that have no place with me
It's all about the spotlight
The winner of the bigfight
The one guy in the story
Who shows up
Just to claim all the glory

The word "mistake" just isn't in my book
It's the final lap
And it's the lead I took
I had to win
At all costs
To be a man in men
A man who never lost

The jock with the cheerleader
At the psychic shop
The natural mind reader
At the peak of my prime
Things are goin' great
To be the best
Just has to be my fate

I went through life
Without a friend
And through myself
I found my end
The phrase it goes
"There's always someone better"
Oh how I wish that were true
So I would have someone now
