Emotional Intelligence

I am trying to control myself cuz i know that no one should take anything including life to seriously cuz 10 out of 10 people will in fact die..lol

i heard someone say that.. but honestly even tho i know this it is still hard at times to keep my kool?

Im really trying to be so intellectual about it.. i want to analyze every petty aspect of my life psychologically and philosophically

i think that everyone should have this state of self awareness at all times (or at least my fellow underground philosophers)

Have you ever had a thought that just kept going deeper and deeper and what would normally would make you indignant annoyed and resentful that in return just enlightens you cuz you understand the reason why now..

I have been reading up alot on psychology which has helped me to come up w/ my philosophical perceptions and theories............so i am starting to percieve the world like this more and more everyday.. and with all that occurs throughout my day

anything that happens i can just analyze and let go...

till i just cant analyze anymore....

Well said, analytical. I've been trying to do that for years and will continue doing that. I'm getting better at feeling, controling my feelings, and using them to motivate me. I accept every feeling I get, analyze some of the ones that trouble me, and use these feelings to motivate me. And when I'm done, I put all that wisdom in storage to be used when I need it. It works, but it takes time.

The problem when I do that is I "seclude" myself from my environment because I'm almost always contemplating. I keep my thoughts to myself. I don't talk about meaningless things unless I need to. Then I have some of my friends telling me that I am living in a box and hiding from people. I tried to explain my philosophy to her, but she's not open to what I say. Sad...

that sounds just like my life...


is the "she" you are inferring possibly a girlfriend.. cuz mine does the same thing and says to me that she doesn't want to hear my stupid theories....haha

I know what you mean Attolia. I'm kinda like that too. Right now my friends seems kinda stupid or ignorant ( for lack of a better word) and it's sometimes frustrating.
Sometimes I know what I'm feeling, but I don't know why I'm feeling that way. It's like I'm watching someone else live through me, and I'm just watching but feeling, yet not understanding. Anyone ever get that?

Don't leave your theories, "she" may not want to hear you but that's what this forum is for (and I was talking about this with someone of us), this is an space where you can tell your theories and actually be heard and people won't tell you that you're crazy, instead they will discuss it with you, so enjoy this.

And I've felt that way too, WanderingNobody, sometimes I don't know if I'm too calmed or if I just can't find myself and I start like to leave my body and everything happens very slow and I seem to be somewhere else 'cause people talk to me and I need more time to understand and to answer...

I don't care if I'm crazy...at least I'm not the only one!!!

My emotional IQ is 124, and I scored highest in "emotional management".

mines 126, strong suit in Expression.

is that high?....or what? I don't know....honestly i'm not sure, my relationships are aight but i don't know if i'm smart in any aspect of anything.....I just do what I can to keep people and myself happy with life....*shrugs*

126....my strongest suit is empathy...being able to see things from anothers point of view. very, very true.

I think we should analyse why every one needed to test themselves to be sure that they are emotionally intelligent. and the fact that we are standardizing such a thing as emotion... its shocking

I don't think I felt a need to test my emotional intelligence, like it was somehow fulfilling my life or anything. I just took it just because, I mean, everything you do doesn't always have to have a reason behind you actions or thinking. There's nothing really shocking about it.

Are you kidding me we are philosophers there is always a reason other wise we would question nothing. and how can you say that standardizing something a volitile and personal as your emotions isnt shocking. i would say its a true sign of our socialisation where like everything in our lives it is tested and anylysed by a greater body, instead of our selves.

btw being bored is so ort of one of those undisputable reasons i think its the reason the chicken gave when crossing the road.
