Over Dew Fines!

Okay this is something that has always confused me.
At a Libray you get to take a book out for free,But if you Don't return by the Date it's due back you have to pay money. Why is that? Can anyone Maybe explain Why I have to pay for something when I never paid to get it out in the first placE? So maybe we should Deposits down so We will return the book ontime?

think of it logically. the point of a library is to lend books. books is the focus and the essence of a library. so if everyone took 5 books when they go in and never return them, what do you think will happen over time? the library will have no more books and there's no point in operating a library with no books. plus, the books aren't free. eventually, books are either donated or sold. so yeah, i understand late fees. besides, the late fees aren't exactly hefty. what is it? 10 cents a day? *laughs pompously* all you have to do is go back and say you wanna renew your...borrow...ment...o_O. whatever the word is.

libraries don't bug me. know what does though? blockbuster. late by ONE minute and they'll charge you $5. blockbuster. pfft. i'll bust your block. punks.

Yeah, blockbuster is annoying. They make you rent it for another 5 days, which isn't bad for a video game, but keeping a movie for 5 days after you have seen it. That just is sad.

As for Libraries, I haven't gone to one(not including school) for idk, 5 years or so. (I only read militaristic novel and only the types that you want to own and say "Hey, that is mine." )
