Scientists are learning so many amazing things about stem cells and what you can do with them. It's very realistic that within the science of stem cells lies the future of human health.
Scientists in Japan have tested growing new hair on bald mice. They create new hair from stem cells and then transplant them into the skin and the results are exceedingly positive.
This video shows the mice they used, and it's actually very weird and amazing to see the patches of thick new hair growing from their skin.

yeah ok, this may work.
I am only against stem cell research that is done by taking stem cells from unborn children or babies. I am not against stem cell research whose genetic material comes from adults or even teens.
The problem with taking stem cells from unborn children/babies is the consent issue. Babies are too young to provide consent, but nevertheless, taking cells from their body is an invasion of rights unless there is consent. Then people will argue that the parent has the right to provide consent. Hmm.. just thought of a an ethical/philosophical question relating to this.. I'll post it up in a new thread.
