Anyone people watched the closing ceremony last night?

I felt like shooting myself when they started playing Lennon's Imagine. That song means something. Word for word. Its hypocrisy playing that while spending over 10 billion pounds on 10000 athletes. That's 1,000,000 pounds for each athlete!

WTF right?!!

What was the point in spending so much for two weeks of sports entertainment!? I live in a pretty crummy area of England and the olympics didn't help us.

Isn't that everywhere in England?

Olympics are not about individual progress anymore. It's all about how much money can be spent buying off IOC officals and judges. I didn't watch any of it.

Last I heard, Canada had a footy team and they won Bronze (ladies).
