This has to be another money making, future securing action. I find it hard to believe that Google would be doing this simply for humanitarian reasons. They launched Google pages and google plus one to compete with FB; android to compete with Ipad; Google Play to compete with iTunes and Kindle; and of course the venture with Samsung. All those flopped and now they're trying the 'spread love' approach to capture popularity.
Sick bastards imo.
