Where the wild things are
For the most part I loved this movie, although they could have left out a lot of the music which to me, made it feel like some kind of music video at times. The only thing I'm really annoyed at is their music selection for the film, because it was all those kinds of "alernative" bands and no original scores. I think they could have done with a lot less music in general.

During the film, I found some of the dialogue to be a bit non sensical at times, then realized that the whole movie was purely about the whole emotional journey of a child trying to figure out his relationships with people, and the whole fantasy world he finds himself in is the world that all children find themselves in when they invest themselves in imaginative play. It's where you learn so much about interactions with others and figuring out problems.

So what I believe they're actually challenging their adult audience to do, is to just surrender to the whole fantasy world that this child builds around himself, and not trying to make too much literal sense out of the dialogue and everything that's going on within it, just like how children immerse themselves into fantasy very easily and without trying to make everything have linear and logical sense.
