Bad things by Christian's
I'm currently writing a paper on Christian groups and their deeds which are, for lack of a better word, evil (i.e. Ku Klux Clan being a christian group). I am especially interested in any modern day references. If anyone has any examples they can share I would be grateful.

As well as the ku klux clan have you considered researching the spanish inquisition and the conquistadores, and what about Freemasonry and the knights templar. And what about the salem witch trials?
I think the charismatic religons tend to use emotions to control their populace...
To keep the population from connecting to right and wrong like a child does from birth...
But then again, you don't have to teach most children to lie.. or hide their wrong in the dark where no one can see...
If taught not to steal, then inticed by a shiny object... even my 2 and a half year old daughters' hand hesitates... as she is in the act of moving towards what she has been encouraged to believe is "wrong"
We are all little lights... our actions emulate our thoughts completely... and incompletely...
Because we even hide thoughts and actions from ourselves.
Try looking behind you... you can't, because your eyes are positioned forward... technically...
So the collectives we form are good for reflecting in like a mirror...
Which may be the only real purpose of a Religon of God... to be a mirror for our own filthy behavior... a standard to set that may not be humanly possible... but a degree of that goal is absolutely humanly necessary.
What if the Klan or Farrakhan didn't espouse SOME standards... even skewered and twisted as they are?
Where would we be seeing any self control or control by the majority of these minority thinkers?
Peace.
