Matthew wrote the original Gospel in Aramaic.
He later wrote it in Greek.
The Apostles wrote in Greek.
The OT was written in Hebrew, except the later writings of the OT which were in Greek.
Which [because they accept Hebrew as a prophets language] caused the Jews to throw out the dueterocanicals in 90 AD. However; it was still part of their history, they just later [after Christ] refused to call them inspired as per their denial a prophet wrote them.
[Which makes Hannukah moot point]
Around 382 AD St Jerome of the Catholic Church translated the Bible into Latin for the Universal language which was under Rome.
The printing press was invented in 1451 AD, and in which case the first Bible was translated into German and published for cumsumption of the laity.
Etc etc etc. The rest is history.
