Flipping thru the channels when I came upon gwbush making a speech. Still trying to sell the war as a bid for democracy.
I have been looking at another site on photography but had stayed away (members only) from the lounge (area of non photo. discussions) but the 'angry marine's comment thread did attract my attention. Thing was that the general view wasn't pro war but many seemed to miss a point.

The Issue of GOD aside, there is a wisdom to be found in the bible. Jesus taught that one should act with with kindness toward your enemies that you should do good things for them. So considering the present situation in Iraq, we should have sought to do good for them rather than supporting Saddam. but then if we look back further, we see that we support another like Saddam in Iran . . . in fact, it would seem to indicate that the failed efforts in I ran lead the US into supporting Saddam in Iraq & promoting Iraq's invasion into Iran.
If it was truely about democracy then we turned away from the best opportunities to help both Iran & Iraq by supporting these dictators.
