that story is so strange. i read the book a year or two ago and didn't really enjoy it, it was an interesting read an I'm glad i did read it, but i found the lengths to which he predicted things could get faintly ridiculous. I am aware that dictatorships can be highly oppressive the idea that a population would go so far as to allow those video screens to be built into every house is pushing the levels of realism too far. i think the view of a fascist dictatorship presented by v for vendetta is more realistic.
