Xloobyloox, you already have the right idea about the diet thing by choosing healthy over radical.
But there's another aspect that's
far more insidious than eating chocolate cake, and it can keep you feeling fat and unhappy with your body for most of your life. It will also take your self esteem, money, and seriously jeopardize your personal relationships all along the way.
You see although you
believe that you live in a free world, in reality you are in the process of becoming 'enslaved'.
I'm not suggesting any conspiracy theory nonsense here, and the clever thing about this so called 'slavery' is that it will be
chosen by you and not enforced by another.
But from every possible perspective, you are being bombarded by mega-media Icons which are carefully chosen to shape your ideas about everything, most particularly yourself.
It may seem really innocent (and herein lies its strength), but every time you are confronted by one of these Icon's (in adverts, billboards, movies) that show models 'photo-shopped' beyond belief; you are also subtly being asked at the same time to compare yourself (unfavorably) .
The Icon pretends to have your best interests at heart, it offers you love, happiness, success, power, self esteem, approval of others etc, but not only can it
never deliver these...
something
far worse, it subtly seduces you into trading your own means of achieving love, happiness, self esteem etc, for a
Grand Illusion.
And you will learn to love this Illusion so much you will fund its very existence by purchasing its goods, and faithfully believing in it, and following it around for the rest of your life. You will also hang out with other believers, and probably deride others who choose not to do so.
In fact it will take
extraordinary personal courage to resist this kind of enslavement, but with every stand you take against it, you will become ever more powerful in yourself and more of everything you ever
really wanted.
The very first step is to reject outright the kind of comments which come from those who probably mean well, but show that they have already begun their journey as slaves. For example:
[quote]
aww. I'm sure you're very pretty. lol you can't be that eagerly or your boy wouldn't want you as 'his little sex slave'. lol
Even if you just outright reject and contradict all this type of talk (and you don't even have to believe it at first), you will have your work cut out for you!
But on the plus side, the weight will start to melt away (you will no longer be needing its 'protection'
and you will become more and more beautiful.
No matter what guy's tell you, a genuinely self-empowered woman is an absolute aphrodisiac, and drop-dead-sexy!
(its the needy, insecure women with poor self-esteem that they soon get bored with, and move on).
