Donnie Darko
Yes, I realize that it is extremely old, but it is an amazing movie.

Any takers?

Just recently, i watched this movie. There were a lot of un-answered questions, and i was wondering if someone could give me a site or something that could explain the movie in great detail. I recoginized some of the symbolism, but i know that there were many parts that i proubably overlooked, or were important to the movie. This is the first movie in a long time that ive watched that made me think, instead of just making me laugh or etc...

I don't have a particular site that explains it in detail, at least that I have found yet, but, if you feel like spending 15 bucks, you can go buy the Donnie Darko: Directors Cut DVD. Its a little bit different version of the movie, different music in some scenes, extra scenes, deleted scenes. Just a little bit different take on the movie. But it also comes with a second disc that actually has a lot of stuff on it, in particular there is what I think is probably about 30 to 45 minutes of footage of people (mostly teenagers, a few film critics) that actually have some very interesting outlooks on the whole symbolism of the movie, who Donnie represents, and it's actually very very interesting. They talked about things I didn't even think of, its a good buy... hope this helps! Fantastic movie by the way too, probably in my top 20.
