I don't think I've ever read a fantasy book so simply put, yet beautiful. I've read it nine times, and I haven't gotten tired of the foreign imagery throughout the story. I'm obsessed. ^_^

I read this book years ago, but I was also surprised at how real it was. The author, I remember, published her first book at fourteen...it's easy to track how her writing has matured. I loved this book...I has like three sequels, and they were all terrible. Still, Hawksong stands alone very nicely

Is this an Anne McCaffrey book? The title sounds like her thing. If not whose it by and what is it about? I loooove fantasy novels.
