Why speak in third person
I've looked in a lot of peoples profile and when it gets down to describing themselves it's all written in third person correct me if i'm wrong but should that be done and if so then why is it wrong when a athlete does it to describe himself on the field...

Because like on seinfield "jimmy likes that" and "george is getting upset". It's just a different use of pronoun.

Haha, that was one funny episode. I've never known anyone who wrote their profile in third person, it's usually in first, but if they did then, hey, they just felt like it. Sometimes writing about yourself objectively clears your head and helps you to understand your own actions and personality. Athletes on the field in third person...? Huh? Athletes should just shut up and play. People spend money to see athletes play, not talk.
