Friends?
What do you do when you realize that you no longer enjoy the company of your friends?

Heh... I have no REAL friends, and I probably will never have one. If its a really good friend like you do almost everthing together, then try to work out your problems. If you lose them, you wont feel the same ever again. If its just another social friend you barley talk to like only when your passing by them then just let them live their life and forget about them.

take a small break. try to understand what it is that needs to change in the relationship. if the changes are unable to be made, distance yourself from them.

get really drunk with them. it worked for me. unless thats what you normally do. then go downtown, sit in the park, read a book, and draw a picture. then go inside a coffe house and the first xcute girl you see, ask if you can buy her a cup of coffe. what happens from here doesn't really matter, but tell your freinds about your completly normal, sober, boring day(unless you get laid then its not so boring) and if they don't care or make fun of you, perhaps you've simply out grown them.

what those lot said, but if it doesn't work then you'll just become more and more distant, it's already happened to me, not exactly the greatest of things, but it's life, have you tried confronting your friend about this?

I was in this situation for awhile my freshman year of college. I roomed with a buddy from high school, and 2 others lived right next door. So we hung out all the time. All we really did was smoke pot, get drunk, and play Halo. I had fun, but it just wasn't fulfilling. Eventually I quit smoking pot. I still drink, but haven't gotten wasted with them for awhile. The thing is, my realtionship has never been better with them, these days. That, and we no longer live in such close proximity.

Try doing some new things that you'll all enjoy. Go hiking, go camping, workout together, start practicing a martial art together. All of these things elevate the relationship a bit more, especially if you both/all enjoy them. Partying is fun, too.

If you're questioning your friendship there must be a reason. Maybe you are changing as a person and it's you you need to look at. Or maybe you're starting to realize that although Booger is a funny guy, he's not doing anything to better your life just holding you back, and making your doorknobs sticky..
