Yep

If you believe something because you are afraid to believe anything else, most likely you're screwed.

I know, I've been there.

Though I do not believe in hell, and have no clue as to how I could have believed in such a thing, but I still do very strongly believe in God.

But as I've explained else where, I've had experiences along the way that make such an idea easy to believe, others may not have had the same experiences, therefor having their doubts justified.

But the most important experience I have had is when I worked at Lincoln Memorial Gardens Nature Center when I was a teenager.

I would experience God in all the plants and animals, and its just something you can't explain. In the Navy, standing on deck, looking out at sea and watching mountains of water flow by, how can you not believe there is a God. But its more of a feeling than it is logic. And it's not something I can show you.
