Kingdom of Heaven

generally i love this genre of movie. i think the ads are a bit misleading though, because i was pretty disappointed in this movie. i went in thinking this was some type of epic. some great war movie with enormous intense battles. turns out this movie is just about one guys shitty life, a guy who quite frankly im getting sick of seeing in every friggin movie. no offense to orlando bloom, hes a great actor but he needs to take a little break and then branch out a bit. Liam Nesson is the only character that really grabbed me, and he was barely in the movie at all.

ill give it some points for the cool forest fight in the beginning and the wicked slaughterfest at the end, but the rest is dull, not insightful in any way... and it tries to play in to your emotions concerning religion... that really irritated me. i understand that its important for the time period, and it makes sense that it was a powerful driving factor, but seriously they tried way to hard to tug at your emotions using it... blatetly and almost disrespectfully, to me at least.
