U.S. troops serving in the Iraqi city of Ramadi made a video of themselves kicking a gravely wounded Iraqi detainee in the face and trying to make the arm of a corpse wave, then called the film 'Ramadi Madness'. http://aljazeera.com/me.asp?service_ID=7188

In my opinion, war/killing is reprehensible, from the standpoint of the sorrow, destruction and needless death it causes. This statement does not include that age-old Irish hobby though, especially when you get to buy a drink for the loser. And of course, we must admit the phenomenal advances in medicine, aviation, and electronics, etc. as well as the more destructive pursuits. I particularly do not agree with our government's current reason for being there. We claim to be part of the world community, then we just ignore everyone and go in guns-a-blazin'. Too bad Saddam used up all the WMD we gave him. Now I worry on what other poor country we are going to pick a fight with next. In my opinion, you can't fight terrorism with terrorism; there are no victories there.

http://www.captaincynic.com/thread.php3/thrdid=34018-u-frmid=1 I thought these videos were in this thread, guess not, they should be, just a link to a thread with very good video of lecture by Dr. Major Doug Rokke. An Army officer and Scientist tasked by the Army to clean up after and report health and environmental effects of DU usage in Gulf 1. You might be surprised at what he has to say.

The Pentagon's Secret Stash Why we'll never see the second round of Abu Ghraib photos Matt Welch The images, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Congress, depict "acts that can only be described as blatantly sadistic, cruel, and inhuman." After Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) viewed some of them in a classified briefing, he testified that his "stomach gave out." NBC News reported that they show "American soldiers beating one prisoner almost to death, apparently raping a female prisoner, acting inappropriately with a dead body, and taping Iraqi guards raping young boys." Everyone who saw the photographs and videos seemed to shudder openly when contemplating what the reaction would be when they eventually were made public. But they never were. http://www.reason.com/0504/co.mw.the.shtml
