Someone help me out
i just bought a 1980 trans am firebird, but im not sure what size engine it is on the paper work it says "3800" 6 cylinders im not sure what that means like how much Horsepower and is it like a 350? v4 v6? lol... im kinda new at cars dont Laugh just help me out

You are correct Domzor, it is a 3.8L V6. In the early 80's those engine were around 150hp and about 180 ft/lbs of torque.

The 350 engine i a 5.7L Engine and in the early 80's they were only about 200-225 hp. They kinda sucked in these years with all of the pollution control systems coming into effect.
