quote:
Unless one has some sort of faith one cannot logically believe in any event that happened out of one's life time. For example I was not present during the world wars all I know is what is written in books by people who claimed that it happened.
I agree with that statement. Sometimes we will believe something because we are told they are true yet have seen no proof of it, why - maybe because nobody else questions it.
But - if other people do question it, then so do we. We are followers of eachother - really we are.
Politicians use this. We are given a fact that might cause a politician to look bad, but to dispell this, that politician will question it, and so will we.
The same way, when you have a discussion with someone. You share a fact with them "green leaves are green" In your mind this is a fact until someone else says - "define green"
Truth is what we believe it to be - we make the choice what to believe.
The fact that there is a God
or
The fact that there isn't a God
Is your choice. It cannot be proven either way.
I do believe in God, and I do believe God shows its self, and I choose to believe this while others might choose not to.
