Church and State
They are to be seperated so that one will not rule the mass as was so in the past. You would be stretched on a stretcher till you confessed that you believed in the trinity. After you confessed, you may not walk again, but at least the pain would end.

America was created to escape this, so it was sure that seperation of church and state was a part of our constitution. Fundamentalists who believe one should follow the law also believes it is above the law - at least this one any ways and has found a way to subject the mass to its teachings, and its laws will be our laws. Amen

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."

The basis in the first amendment.

Plus you can find discussions on this from our founding fathers.

They often promoted multiple religion partially because many of them often practiced multiple, even contradictory religions. For what purpose exactly I'm not certain.

Christ was a big topic of discussion, but Freemasonry and basic Deism, of which still many prominent world government and business leaders associate themselves with today.

The problem with Freemasons is that Freemason (from what I've learned thus far) although may have a benign sector with open dissagreements on some strong fundametalist idealogies of the freemasons may also have a more secret sector, one who follows supposedly unknown truths of the meanings of all masonic symbolism, a system as quoted by a grand master or some such posistion as referring to lucifer, bearer of light, as the god of good, and adonay or something (the chirstian god) is the god of evil. I'm still looking into this stuff but these are some possible points thus far, because there is argument on all of it like everthing else.

Deism which was quite popular, according to my dictionary, states it to be an ideology that believes in a god, but not in revelation.
