Chocie Chocie!

Well its that time of year again, and I definately wont be eating MUCH chocolate, what about you guys?
Does anyone get long weekends like I do in Australia, we get FRI, SUN,MON off which is choice! If so what are you doing for the long weekend?
Im probably packing because Im moving house once again and prob going out SAT nite in town.

I'm in Canada, but I work for a US company so Friday is a stat holiday for me. This means I work, but I get a paid day off whenever I want in the future.

As for time off, I'm off for the next 2 weeks and going to Cancun on Sunday.

You realize that getting a paid day off in the future means that you are getting jipped big time eh?

I am quite aware that the normal stat holiday pay is 1.5x your normal pay AND a regular day's pay, resulting in an average of 2.5 times pay that day. I have to explain this to my employees all the time.

I however prefer to have the option of a day off since this results in about 8 - 10 paid days off in addition to the 15 that already are granted to me every year. This results in 5 weeks of paid time off.

I didn't get the day off. The state of Oklahoma does not recognize Catholic holidays.
