This is my number one favourite for meditation - try to meditate without falling asleep! Tip - concentrate on your breathing and relax every single muscle in your body one by one starting toes upwards.

I'm curious Wyote, what made you include that track? Do you use it as a focus for meditation? I must admit it had a slightly too hypnotic rather suffocating affect on me but the animation was quite awe inspiring.

Mainly it was the animation that did it for me too, but Sutras are interesting to use to put yourself into a meditative trance! I like experimenting with whatever meditation techniques I come across.
The entire song and video resonates with something very deep inside me. I feel as though things are being pulled to the surface from within me. It makes me still, but pulsates my psyche.

Yes I see what you mean. You do need something to focus on. A bell or singing bowl, 'om' or breathing, or the patterns in a zen garden, whatever it is it is a focus for concentration. I prefer calm music, water sounds, dolphins, bird song and my own breathing or heart beat. Prayer is also a good focus and rosary beads are used as a prayer focus by devout Catholics.
Sometimes I meditate by contemplating certain words or phrases such as a passage from the bible or a poem. I've even meditated on a passage out of scientific journals to try and gain a clearer understanding of its meaning.
