Watched c-span today as they debated & voted? Well the voting part must have been electronic or prerecorded with the individual votes deleted because the vote was called for then a cry of ya/na heard & the tallied vote was announced. One of the issues addressed seem to involve USA stance on Iran & their nuclear arms program. If only one thing is apparent from the USA stance on Iranian nuclear energy program being used as a subterfuge by Iran now, is that our own nuclear energy program has amounted to the samething . . . is the production of electrical energy from nuclear reactors a viable expense or is the expenditure viable because of the by-product of nuclear weapons grade material? One tends to wonder which is the product & which is a by-product? Considering the nation debt, we should be aware that funds have been misappropiated from those tagged for our energy concerns & needs to be used as a buffer for our military spending? Of course these actions come under the security blanket so they are justified in these deceptions. After all, we wouldn't want to tip our hand to foreign nations by allowing foreign nations to know the extent of our armament! this is what happened in Nazi Germany & the so call 'axis powers'. they secretly built up & modernized their armed forces & therefore were able to march across Europe. Gee, {besides the little incident with the Shaw(sp) of Iran} I just can't understand why those people might not trust us to do what is right & good for them?

Excerpt: Neocon Flubs Keep On Rolling: Iran Does Not Manufacture 81MM Mortar Shells BBC Monday, February 12, 2007 Pentagon carelessness fabricating bogus “evidence†against Iran is really quite stupendous. As I wrote here yesterday, the 81mm mortar shell offered up to the complaisant corporate media as “evidence†Iran is supplying weaponry to the Shi'a of Iraq is an obvious ruse, as the date on the proffered shell does not follow the Muslim calendar and other markings are in English when it only makes sense they would appear in Persian script. But it gets worse. As a recent email points out, Iran does not manufacture 81mm mortar shells. According to a report offered by the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University, connected to the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the neocon Brookings Institute, the smallest mortar produced by Iran is the 107mm M-30. This information is included in the JCSS's “Middle East Military Balance,†updated last February. It can be read in this PDF file on page 15. According to JCSS, “The Middle East Military Balance has been the most authoritative source on Middle Eastern Armies since 1983.†It is quite fortunate for us the hubris-filled neocons care not to double check their engineered liesâ€'erroneously described as a “machining processâ€â€'before unleashing them on an unwitting public. As Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini told the Associated Press, the “United States has a long history in fabricating evidence,†an undisputed fact more than underscored by the lead-up to the Iraq invasion when the neocons claimed Iraqi weather balloon trailers doubled as biological weapon labs and clumsily recycled a student's homework as evidence Saddam was dabbling in weapons of mass destruction. Considering the shoddiness of the mortar ruse, it makes perfect sense so-called “experts†involved in the scam told “a large gathering of reporters†(more accurately described as script readers and errand boys) “they not be further identified,†lest blame be delivered to their doorstep. “Why are US officials hiding behind the cloak of anonymity when presenting the most detailed evidence yet that Iran is supplying anti-US forces in Iraq with weaponry?†muses Eason Jordan. “After weeks, if not months, of US official planning to present a damning ‘dossier' of incriminating evidence against Iran, and after this same US administration presented us with lopsided, erroneous information about the capability and evil intentions of the Saddam Hussein regime, the best the US government can give us today is incendiary evidence presented at a Baghdad news conference by three US officials who refuse to be quoted by name?…. The American people deserve straight talk from identified US officials.†Of course, such “straight talk†will not be forthcomingâ€'not now or after Iran is destroyed, as Iraq was destroyed before it. Maybe, if we are lucky, at some point in the future, the names of these “experts†will emerge in the course of a new Nuremberg trial. Addendum Iran does not manufacture 81mm mortarsâ€'but Pakistan does. Compare the photo on this death merchant catalog page with the one offered up as “evidence†against the Iranians. Minus the nosecone and fins at the bottom, it is almost a dead ringer, excuse the metaphor (see enlargement here). Is it possible the Pentagon neocons, in their zeal to finger the Iranians and thus kick start World War Four, as they fondly call it, are using a Pakistani mortar and attributing it to Iran? Considering the long and sordid history of collaboration between the CIA, Pentagon, and Pakistan's nefarious ISI, this is likely the case.

Excerpt: Ex-Bush Iran official: US seeks pretext for conflict with Iran David Edwards Raw Story Monday, February 12, 2007 A former top Bush administration official for Persian Gulf affairs has said in an interview this morning on CNN that the US may be trying to spark a conflict with Iran. Hillary Mann is the former National Security Council Director for Iranian and Persian Gulf Affairs. She warned in the interview that the recent flare up between Iran and the US over the former's alleged assistance to Shi'a militias results from a US desire to provoke conflict with the Iranians. "They're trying to push a provocative, accidental conflict," Mann said. She added that the administration hopes to goad Iran into an overreaction so that it can have justification to carry out "limited strikes" against nuclear infrastructure and Revolutionary Guards headquarters buildings in Iran. Last December, Mann was the co-author with Flynt Leverett, formerly the senior director for Middle East affairs on the National Security Council, of an op-ed that identified failings in the Bush administration's Iran policy. The Bush administration redacted large portions of the editorial, which the New York Times then published in partially blacked out form. RAW STORY published an attempt at a decoding of the contents of Mann and Leverett's op-ed.

To sum up and comment on the two articles posted above, we are again facing, and far more clearly given recent previous examples still on going, blatant propaganda, lies, and provocation for yet more "war". This administration would invade the world if we the people would allow it, and folks, its a disgustingly fucking putrid reality that many people in this country would love to let them. I'm through pussy footing around on the "war" issue and this criminal regime currently in power for some ungodly reason. These people will face prosecution for war crimes, this is Hitler all over again, but on steroids, and either we the people have to put a stop to it, or the rest of the world will. No concentration camps you say? Most of those are actually in America right now, but Iraq is one big concentration camp, a giant execution chamber. We aren't killing Jews, we're killing Muslims+, systematic slaughter of innocents, defenders of the country that we label terrorists. Just remember that we may suffer the same judgement when we are being invaded by a world coalition against our crimes. I can't believe that I am living through the nightmare that was Nazi Germany. And when the next attack at home happens, and it most likely will, I'm seeing legislation trying to cut back on Bushs' new powers (good news indeed, though possibly smoke screen of course), but because of these actions, especially if sincere, the criminals will be forced to terrorize and implement "emergency powers" to continue this sick path. So yes, when I mention a attack at home, it will likely be by the hands of this administration and its covert means. Including the possibility of basically hiring others to commit it. Those who are so distraught over Islamic fundamentalists, especially governments, are you at all concerned about Christian and Jewish fundamentalists running our country and indeed fomenting wars and invading multiple countries? Everything you are so worried about deranged Muslims doing, we already are...

Excerpt: U.S. Government Uses Al-Qaeda To Attack Iran Bush authorizes group formerly headed by alleged 9/11 mastermind to be bankrolled & armed by CIA for covert regime change Paul Joseph Watson & Steve Watson Prison Planet Monday, May 28, 2007 Recent revelations illustrating the fact that the U.S. government is using a Sunni Al-Qaeda terrorist group formerly headed by the alleged mastermind of 9/11 to carry out bombings in Iran undermines the entire war on terror as a monumental hoax that is being exploited purely to realize a geopolitical agenda. "President George W Bush has given the CIA approval to launch covert "black" operations to achieve regime change in Iran, intelligence sources have revealed. Mr Bush has signed an official document endorsing CIA plans for a propaganda and disinformation campaign intended to destabilise, and eventually topple, the theocratic rule of the mullahs." "The CIA is giving arms-length support, supplying money and weapons, to an Iranian militant group, Jundullah, which has conducted raids into Iran from bases in Pakistan," the London Telegraph reported yesterday. Jundullah is a Sunni Al-Qaeda offshoot organization that was formerly headed by alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Even if you believe the official story of 9/11 to the letter, the fact that Bush has personally authorized U.S. support for this group completely dismantles the facade of the war on terror. The group has been blamed for a number of bombings inside Iran aimed at destabilizing Ahmadinejad's government and is also active in Pakistan, having been fingered for its involvement in attacks on police stations and car bombings at the Pakistan-US Cultural Center in 2004. The U.S. government is arming and directing a Sunni Al-Qaeda group to carry out bombings in Iran and yet Bush has the temerity to grandstand during his Rose Garden speech last week and wave the Al-Qaeda bogeyman to strike the fear of God into American citizens. "As to al Qaeda in Iraq, al Qaeda is going to fight us wherever we are. That's their strategy. Their strategy is to drive us out of the Middle East. They have made it abundantly clear what they want. They want to establish a caliphate. They want to spread their ideology. They want safe haven from which to launch attacks. They're willing to kill the innocent to achieve their objectives, and they will fight us. And the fundamental question is, will we fight them? I have made the decision to do so. I believe that the best way to protect us in this war on terror is to fight them," Bush said on Thursday. Bush's definition of fighting Al-Qaeda is apparently to lend them all the funds, weapons and tactical know how they need to carry out attacks against innocent civilians in Iran, and let us not forget that America's allies the British have also been caught training insurgents in Iraq to carry out hi-tech bombings that are later blamed on Iran - just as the SAS worked with U.S. special forces to train the KLA in Kosovo, which was also an Al-Qaeda chapter having been financed directly by Bin Laden himself. But in the world of newspeak and the lowest common denominator propaganda that cloaks the real agenda of the "war on terror", anyone who rises up against occupation, be it a kid who throws a rock in Baghdad or a car bombing on behalf of an increasingly Shiite-led insurgency, the natural enemies of the Sunni "Al-Qaeda," are terrorists and are Al-Qaeda members. A cruel irony exists whereby anyone and everyone who opposes military occupation is smeared as an Al-Qaeda terrorist and yet the only real Al-Qaeda terrorists are being bankrolled, armed and directed by the CIA itself, with Bush's explicit approval. Since President Bush didn't know the difference between Sunni & Shiite Muslims until two months before the invasion of Iraq and the incoming chairman of a congressional intelligence committee said Al Qaeda prominently came from the Shia branch of Islam, we can't hold out much hope for Joe Public and this is why the simplest propaganda is always the most effective. They're the bad guys, we're the good guys - black and white with no shades of gray. In reality, Al-Qaeda only exists within intelligence circles coordinated by the highest echelons of the U.S. government, and is being used yet again as a tool for destabilization in nations targeted for regime change by the Neo-Cons. Jundullah is not the only anti-Iranian terror group that US government has been accused of funding in an attempt to pressure the Iranian government. Multiple credible individuals including US intelligence whistleblowers and former military personnel have asserted that the government is conducting covert military operations inside Iran using guerilla groups to carry out attacks on Iranian Revolution Guard units. It is widely suspected that the well known right-wing terrorist organization known as Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK), once run by Saddam Hussein's dreaded intelligence services, is now working exclusively for the CIA's Directorate of Operations and carrying out remote bombings in Iran of the sort that the Bush administration condemns on a daily basis inside Iraq. After a bombing inside Iran in March, the London Telegraph also reported on how a high ranking CIA official has blown the whistle on the fact that America is secretly funding terrorist groups in Iran in an attempt to pile pressure on the Islamic regime to give up its nuclear program.

Yes, the Cold War is & has been an unofficial declaration of World War. The Cold War is why we spend funds to develope armament; tanks & ships, planes & missiles to deliver the nukes, dirty bombs, bio-weapons that they have developed. That is why they want you to join & serve the country in the miiltary, to man the walls & form the garrison that they may maintain [their] your world [life=>lifestyle]. With the object of their seeking laying within their grasp, do you really think they are going to turn aside? Damn the torpedos, full steam ahead!
