What would such a "life preserver" be like in the world we perceive?

would we have to be dead from our bodies to be "saved"?

From what I do or do not understand, we would have to be pulled from the bodies we occupy now [the water] by means of _______ [the life preserver] and then we would be safe on the boat/land or where ever you have been saved [heaven]

One gets saved by accepting the need for the life preserver which is Jesus. If you acknowledge that you need saving then you must turn to Him who is capable of doing it. If one man has a boat and another is in the water which do you think will be able to save you.
Life is the stormy water Jesus is the life preserver and God is the ship that carries and protects you throughout the rest of the storm He doesn't necessarily take you out of the storm He instead put Himself between you and the storm.

If he doesn't take you out of the storm then you are not taken away from life.. merely blocking it out. At that time you are stripped of all sin and allowed into heaven but given the choice the resume that ways of which you lived? If that is so, then Jesus unblocks the storm. and you are no longer safe on the boat. Just casted back into the water?

You may jump overboard if you want but He will always be there to pick you back up

hmm.. when we go back into the water, would this mean that we would go back in a new lifeform to occupy until we meet with our savior again? Granting us a sense of Immortality, well no that wouldnt make sense, because our spirits are immortal to begin with if im not mistaken...

Going back into the water after being saved doesn't change the fact that you have been saved

So I could have already been saved? And I am just rediscovering the truth...hmm, more to ponder it would seem.

If you had been saved you would know it. And the longer you live as a saved person the less frequently you jump back into the water.

Seek it out then challenge it and test it until you can be sure of it.

god created everything.
and if something was "perfect" it wouldn't matter who "tempted" us, we wouldn't fualter, becuase perfect ghings are perfect, and so would be our ability to withstand temptation.
