It sounds to me like you are unhappy--look within--not around to solve your problem.

Simple people? Are we not all simple in our own ways?
I can fix a car, but not bake a cake.......and I have no desire to know why I can't bake a cake or learn to do so....I do not question it.......yes I am simple!

What is important to some people is not so important to others.
To claim that people around you are simple tells me two things:
1 you need to surround people who accept you for you--even if they don't agree with you--because they will respect you and with time you will learn from them and they you.
2 you need to question who gave you the right to deem people simple.......maybe you're simple to other people.

LIKE SALINGER MENTIONED, YOU DONT SEEM LIKE VERY HAPPY PERSON, AND YOUR SOPPOSED TO BE ONE OF THE "ENLIGHTENED" ONES? THERE IS "SIMPLE" PEOPLE EVERYWHERE THAT ARE HAPPY.

MAYBE YOU HAVE THOUGHTS BACKWARDS.

they are happy because they are ignorant to anything but day to day life, and because they think of niothing but the present. yes i am an unhappy person sometimes but at other time i am not. Its not just whether or not the people are happy or can get A's in a class room or what not, its how they use there brain and there ability to comprehend things outisde of themself and there own little world all in their head that separates them.

the whole point about being a simple person is that they are not the ones that would stand in the mirror and wonder who they are. it is the people that have no desire to learn to grow from anything or about anything that are the simple people.

what of the people who constantly critisize and judge themselves to a seemingly unhealthy extent? where do they fall? how much introspectiveness is too much? is there such a thing?
