look folks, I am not at all prejudiced.

BUT changing black to African American is so...DUH!

Number one, no one in America is african.
Secondly, I am still called white. So whats that about?

Should I be called Irish/Geman American??
NO...because I am white. Because I am american.

The terms used are just so wrong. WE do not have very many AFRICAN AMERICANS.

That would be someone...who actually became american from africa...or so the term would imply.

Todays folks are just like the WHITES...several different nationalities. And AMERICAN..Period!

Well Patrish i think tit goes l little deeper than that I think it is more about heritage & attitude. We are called Americans, if I say Native American you think the American Indian?
But America is the name given to North, Central & South America. Yet American means the US & Native American doesn't include the Native Americans (Indians) [misused term to begin with, wasn't the India, West or otherwise] of Central or South America. African-American is more indicative of transplanted people than an enslaved race, bound by forced to this land.

It's funny how people hate on Fox News when it's the only news channel that doesn't bias everything and falsefy more documents than you could shake a baby at...
